how we show up!

Political education class

We empower and educate our communities on how to respond to conflict without police and how to legally/safely arm themselves and protect their communities when necessary.

We support victims by assisting with legal fees and connecting them with attorneys. We bring public awareness to the murders and misconduct by the police department.

Protesters walking on a sidewalk holding signs with messages about justice for Jorge Gomez. The signs include phrases like "Justice for Jorge Gomez" and details about his death, with photos of Jorge Gomez. The protesters are wearing masks and casual clothing.

We have dedicated time to investigate, research, and create our own reports. We want believe that this is a necessary step to providing transparency and community awareness.

We keep each other safe, and the only way to do that is by connecting with our community—meeting people where they are. We build with over-policed communities to create safe spaces for us, free from police intervention.

Group of people wearing masks and gloves gather on the sidewalk to distribute food and supplies, with cars and a fence seen in the background on a sunny day.

We meet people where they are and help them understand, we take care of ourselves. Through coalition building and partnership we can bring resources to the community to help them with the hardships of everyday life created by the system.
